Recount: Marshmallow Challenge

Task description: This week we have been learning how to create a recount with lots of descriptive language. We had a really fun challenge to complete as a class first and that was the Marshmallow challenge. After that we had to write a recount about our experience. Check out my recount below. Today room 10 completed a marshmallow challenge. In my group there was Frank, Khittamai, Winter, Alex M, Mercy and myself. We were given 20 pieces of spaghetti and 10 marshmallows. We had to build the tallest tower in the class and we only had 15 minutes.

First we had five minutes to plan out how we wanted our tower to look. We talked about how to make it the tallest tower using the materials that we had. We could not agree about what would be the best way to create the tower.

The 15 minutes started and we decided to make it long. The pasta was holding us back, it kept on falling so we tried a different way. So we put a lot, like maybe four marshmallows, to balance it. When we did that it stood up for a few minutes and then it fell. So we decided to use the wall to make it stand up.

Only one minute left and it fell again. My whole group felt so bad. Only 35 seconds left and we built it so differently like it was a one year old mess. It was fun and I really enjoyed it.

Okay back to my story about me, My favourite sport is mostly all of them well not really. The sports that I’ve played were Rugby,Netball,Soccer and mostly Rugby league. My favourite team in the nrl is the panthers my second favourite is the bulldogs, then my 3rd is the Warriors.Okay on to my favourite nrl International team. My 1st one is the Toa Samoa team. My favourite player is Joseph Suaalii. My second favourite Team is *Drum Roll* The Mate Ma’a Tonga team. My favourite player from them is Isaiya Katoa. My third favourite is the Fijians. My favourite player in their team is Viliame Kikau. My least favourite team is the Three lions aka England. My favourite colour is blue and my least favourite colour is pink. My favourite game to play outside is soccer but you can only steal the ball from the player. You can only steal the ball if the person you want to steal is the ball. Like If I picked Winter I would only steal the ball from him and if the ball goes wide and the other player goes for it and gets it then that means I am not allowed to steal the ball of that player because I am only stealing the ball of Winter. My favourite game to play on my brothers ps4 is Rugby league live 4. If you don’t mind, my dream team. My full back Holmes. My winger on my right is brian To’o, my right centre is Critta aka Stephen Crichton. My left winger is Truva, my left centre is Isaiya Katoa. My ⅝ Jerome Laui. My Halfback is Nathan Cleary. My 2 props are James fisher-harris and Moses Leota. My hooker is Jai Hansen. My 2 second rowers are Viliame Kikau and Keaon Koloamatangi.
