Podcast ft Christian Tuipolotu

Task Description: Talofa Lava, during the term. Joshua and I have interviewed a NRL player for the FIRST TIME!, I felt nervous when I started to prepare myself and get some questions for him ready. I thought to myself I might do something bad or I might mess up a question. On the day of the interview, I didn’t expect him to be so tall, during the recordings. We kept stopping until we finally went all the way to finish it. After the interview finished, it felt good but bad at the same time. What I learned during the interview was that he focused more on school than sports.

NBA CUP Highlights

Task Description: As some of you don’t know. It’s getting close to the NBA playoff season. It’s wonderful to see all the teams fighting in their pool for the NBA CUP. There have been a lot of games happening recently, but I wanna show you that NBA is a sport that New Zealand should start watching because how its entertaining, fun, unpredictable and its thrilling to watch teams play with this kinda of skill. It has heaps of memorable NBA stars and today I want to show you the NBA games that should inspire you when you grow up and probably this might be a sport you might wanna start watching, other than that. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.

My Poem’s

This is my older brother.

This is my older brother.

His name is Siaosi.

He is tall.

He is a teacher.

Who teaches special kids

This is my older brother.

He bullies me

He is annoying.

He thinks he’s nonchalant.

He bought his own car.

This is my older brother.

No matter what he does to me, he still loves me.

Even if he annoys me, we are still brothers.

He bullies me because he loves me.

This is My PS4

This is my PS4

It has dust

It is custom

It was brand new

But now it’s getting old.

This is my PS4

It takes long to update

It holds a lot of storage

It makes heaps of sounds

And it’s getting annoying

This is my PS4

It is getting old

But I wouldn’t get another one

Because it holds a lot of memories.

Filipo’s Spring Playlist

Task Description: Today, every Friday we do a fun activity if we’ve been good or our teacher just wants to do it. For today, we have been creating our own playlist based on the season. This season is spring, so of course we had to do our playlist based on spring. Some of us kept playing songs that had the word in it, some just wasn’t on task.

Add/Sub Yr 7-1 WALT solve addition problems with tenths by changing one number into a whole number.

Task Description: This week we have been learning all types of math to prepare us for our math test coming up. Today for maths, we were learning all about decimals,  Others working on money counting. All of our maths is preparing us for our maths test. My challenge was writing all the numbers and adding, subtracting into the slides, what I liked about maths today is that, I was focused.

Japan Music

Task Description: This term’s topic is about music, from different countries that we’ve never heard from. Like for example, ( Room 2 has never heard music from Jamaica) but for today we are rotating into different classes with countries based on music. Our first rotation was room 3, there music is based on the country from japan. First we found what chords and what kind of instruments are from japan. For our second rotation we had room 3 for the last time today, and we had to make some kind of melody and this is what I have gone with.

The Sound Of Fiji

Task Description: This project required a comprehensive exploration of Fijian culture, music, and communication through three distinct components,  a Word Search Puzzle, research on the Lali Drum and other stuff, and a Creative Design task. The initial phase involved solving a complex word search grid containing key vocabulary related to Fijian music, traditional practices, and geography (e.g., Meke, Kava, Lali, Fiji, Elder, Ceremony), which served as an engaging introduction to the core themes. Following this, an essential research component focused on the Lali drum, a traditional wooden slit drum, where you investigated its crucial historical and cultural significance, noting that it was traditionally a primary communication tool used to announce events like births, deaths, wars, and communal gatherings, and continues today to call people to church or school
