Sports Camp 2025

Task Description: Attended to my first sports camp, staying for four nights and five days at Hunua Road, Adair. This was our team’s first time competing at this camp. Throughout the week, we competed in a variety of sports, including volleyball, futsal, and basketball, against other schools. Our team showed great teamwork and determination, which helped us achieve 4th place overall out of all the participating teams. The week was a valuable experience, as it pushed us to develop our skills and learn to collaborate effectively under pressure. Meanwhile with everyone winning atleast a medal. A special congratulations goes to Koru B, who won the overall competition and another congrats to Viscount who won the fair play cup along with Mangere Central winning the best performance.

Who is my G.O.A.T.?

Task Description:  I read about what it means to be the G.O.A.T.  Greatest of All Time. Then I chose someone I think is the greatest in a category I love. I chose Critta because he plays with respect and in games his humble. Some games he cocky but still love him.

T3 Immersion Assembly Recap

Every Team explained what they’re doing and what they’re going to learn about this term’s topic. Reading the script. Acting out. Sticking to the script.  Sunny skies School, Major, Complainer, Dreamer, Miss Fixer. Making a Positive difference in our community.

Welcome back to Term 3 bloggers! This term, our theme is “Positive Difference – He rereketanga Pai” As usual, we kicked off our term with our school immersion assembly.  While we got ourselves settled, Mrs Nua and Mr Bury were giving out trays of pineapples and brownies on a toothpick. Each toothpick and a cute positive affirmation like “Leave a kind footprint”

Team 2 was probably my favourite team item because of how they went to introduce themselves, once it got down to anger which was Miss Walker, and when she was introducing what she was and who she was, anger got the mic and did a growl. Started punching the air but then punched the box she was wearing on her head, then the box flew off her head and revealed her face. Then played the first part of Inside out to finish their item.

What I did on the holidays for the first 3 days was my nana and mum packing up going to Fiji then Samoa to visit my papa’s grave and my mum to drop off my nana back to Samoa. The rest was just sleeping and watching the nrl of Panthers winning again. While watching and training and work when finished I just play the game and help around the house.

Team 5 item – What are we learning about this term? What team 5 is learning is about making a positive difference in our community.

Conclusion: Thank you for reading what I’ve been up to lately. Our focus top for this term is “How can we use our voices and actions to improve the community? Please leave a positive comment and see you next time. Alvida!

Step Up Reflection

Task Description: A few weeks ago when the year 8s left to go camp. The years 7s had a step up program to show there leadership to others and not be bossy. It was a very cool program for the year 7s. My favourite activity was long jump because my friends and I went to go jump to win. We did it twice and we won both rounds.

The Bros Business Lunch Poem

Task Description: We are learning to explain how authors influence what we think and feel. Today, we read Business Lunch by Joy Cowley — a poem with a funny tone and a surprising twist at the end! We explored how the author used humour, mystery, and structure to hide the real meaning until the last line. Then, we shared our thinking and created responses to show what we noticed.

I was surprised when we had to rap about a poem. One clue I noticed was that I had to rap in a group, I think I did well at the dramatic reading with mood music because it was really fun and interesting to do.
